So you’re an early bird, but not because you want to be. Breakfast just not on your morning schedule? Well, we have an idea for you.
Honey, Peanut Butter, Oat Balls
A brilliant replacement to have when you’re on the run and that liquid diet is just not cutting it. These wonderful little things can be prepared 3 weeks in advance and taste fantastic.
You will need only a handful of ingredients:
1 cup of Rolled Oats
Honey, to your taste
A few blobs of peanut butter (crunchy or smooth)
and a dash of milk (dairy, coconut, almond)
First thing’s first, mix together all your ingredients; it doesn’t matter the order that you mix them in.
Once the mixture is sticky, but not overly sticky get out some cling wrap and lay down a small amount just to fit a small ball of the mixture.
You want to take a small handful, so much that nothing spills out from your hand when you close it.
Put that small ball onto the cling wrap, and wrap the top and bottom sides around the ball. With the longer ends, use that to swirl the ball around into a solid shape.
Repeat the above step until there is no more mixture left – try to make the balls as even in size as possible.
Once they’re all done, put them into a ziplock bag with the date on them and pop them into the freezer for a few hours.
After a few hours, feel free to take them out and put two into a smaller ziplock bag for a serving.
They last in the freezer about three weeks, and for a cheeky sweet tooth coat them in chocolate or Nutella.
It’s easy, light on the stomach of a morning and you can even add a few drops of Propolis oil for the added health benefit.
